Whether you are new to the craft or just rusty after many years hiatus, these one-on-one sessions held at the shop are designed for beginners to get the most efficient use of their time. We have two teachers available to get you started on the basics and a first project.
Purchasing your supplies for these lessons at Needle & Skein is required.
Welcome to the After Hours Sweater Club!

What?
After Hours Sweater Club is exactly what it sounds like! We meet after store hours, and we make the viral sweaters we are all tempted by on TikTok and Ravelry. The Club is a combination of things: education, community, and fun. Each weekly Club Meeting is detailed by techniques we will teach and aspirational expectations for the work to be completed for next Club Meeting. However, community and fun are just as important. Think of it like a really cool After School Club for adult humans who share a love of making beautiful, sustainable garments. We will spend 6 weeks on each sweater with a 7th bonus week- our (U)FO Gathering – Share your (Un)Finished Objects and have a cute time celebrating our progress together!
Who?
Anyone who can knit! Each After Hours Sweater Club project will have a difficulty rating and list of used skills. If you are feeling like a challenge, the Club Meeting Schedule details out each week by techniques we will teach you. Still not sure? Ask a team member! We are happy to consult you to make sure you have a successful time in the Club.
When?
After Hours Sweater Club will be weekly on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30ish. Dates differ per session. Drop in rates available!

Stitch-A-Long Wednesdays
Gilah is in the shop on Wednesday nights leading a stitch-a-long. Every month, she’ll start a new project for knitting and crochet and give you tips for success. Come join Gilah for a mid-week mini retreat!
These free sessions are not classes, but a time to be with other knitters in a comfortable environment. With this in mind, we ask that you review the necessary skills for each project prior to attending these fun and free events.
Wednesdays: from 4:00 to Close

Knit (& Crochet) Fix!
Drop in knit fix time is designed to increase skills and build knitting knowledge with a small group.
Have an issue with your knitting or your Crochet? We can fix it! Anything from dropped stitches, figuring out how many rows you’ve already knitted, all the way to changing a pattern to make it fit you properly. Come in and knit your frustrations away!
$20.00 for drop-in – 50% discount for customers of needle & skein
$45.00 for a 5 session punch card – card never expires!

Knit Fix – Wednesdays from 4:00 to 7:00 pm
Stitch Fix (Knit & Crochet help) Sundays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm
Custom Classes
If you would like to see us offer a class on a specific topic, just drop us a line and let us know. Our classes are for you, our customers, so don’t be shy.
- Private Lesson: $25.00 per hour
- Semi-private: $40.00 per hour
- Finishing Work: Starts at $25.00.
- Pajama Parties: $10.00 for a reserved spot!

We do require that you purchase supplies for classes and Knit Alongs from Needle & Skein.
Needle & Skein Classes Policy
Class fees are not refundable unless the instructor cancels the class. If you purchased a class and are unable to attend, you are welcome to sell your seat to someone else. In the event this occurs, the original purchaser must notify us of the change. Should we cancel a class due to inclement weather or instructor illness, we will schedule a make-up session. All class materials must be purchased from Needle & Skein prior to the start of class.
